FRANK & MONTGOMERY TOP 151 BOAT FIELD AT LAKE OF THE OZARKS WITH 22.80 LBS.

The second round of the AiA Lake of the Ozarks division took place on Sunday, March 24, out of the PB2 ramp. The lake is finally starting to produce some good bags, and should get even better within the next few weeks. One of the toughest fields in the Midwest made there way to the Lake of the Ozarks Sunday morning and blasted off at 7am.

A total of 384 bass made their way across the AiA scales Sunday, totaling just over 1,095 pounds. There were 47 five fish limits weighed in. After being weighed, the bass made their way to the AFTCO LIVE RELEASE BASS BUS, then escorted to different areas around the lake to be released. James Frank and Michael Montgomery slammed 22.80 lbs. on the scales to take the win Sunday. They reported catching all their fish on jerkbaits and a-rigs, towards the lower end of the lake. All of their fish came off of two specific banks, and they boated over 15 keepers throughout the day.

Michael and James took home a total of $5,320.00 for their first place finish.

Chad Snelson and Walter Snelson landed in second place overall Sunday, with five fish that dropped in at 20.20 lbs. Walter and Chad reported catching all their bass on jerkbaits throughout the day. They targeted areas from the midlake down towards the dam.

Chad and Walter walked away with a total of $2,300.00.

Chris D'Aquila and Denny D'Aquila placed third overall Sunday, with five Lake of the Ozarks bass that pushed the AiA scales to 20.17 lbs. Denny and Chris fished the lower end of the lake Sunday, targeting transition banks with wiggle warts and jerkbaits to accumulate their limit.

Chris and Denny took home a total of $2,950.00.

Lew's Big Bass of the event went to the team of Chris and Denny D'Aquila. They landed a 7.05 lb. giant on a wiggle wart to take the big bass of the event.

 

Thanks again to everyone that fished with AiA at Lake of the Ozarks on Sunday. Our next AiA tournament at Lake O will be on April 14th, out of the PB2 ramp at 6:30am.
